The Atlanta trip I took was all that and a bag ‘a chips! I am telling you…if you are a fellow photographer in the biz, you NEED to go to Liana Lehman’s Business Boot Camp. (If you are interested in having Liana come out to the Greater Sacramento area, let me know.) I can not even tell you what it has done for me and what I know it will do for my future. The flight out was great. I spent two whole days in the airport flying from coast to coast, but it was worth every second! It also helps that one of my favorite places to people watch is in the airport. I love to just watch and see what people are doing and where they might be headed. Everyone has a story.
I met some absolutely amazing and gifted women along my trip and I am a very blessed woman to have been in their company. You will see some posts coming soon that will talk about each one. This one is about Liana- our ABsolutely fantastic leader, hostess and mentor. We had a lot of laughs, a lot of tears, a lot of “Ah-Ha!” moments and a lot of great food! Ha! I will forever be grateful to Liana and the panel that chose me to receive this scholarship and I will prove worthy of receiving it. Liana is a truly amazing woman and to hear her speak and teach you know that she is on such an amazing journey. I wish her only wonderful things for her future and I know her successes will be great.
This was my first meeting I ever had with Liana. We met at WPPI in Las Vegas in 2007. Someone took my camera- my little point and shoot and took this snapshot. I have to say- I look crazy in it, but I still think it’s pretty cool that I have it! I will never forget the impression she laid upon me that first meeting.
Fast forward 1 1/2 years later and here we are! Liana is talking to us about some of our homework that we needed to do that night. Yes, we had full and busy days, then went back to the hotel and I worked until 1 or 2 in the morning to do my homework! The weather was beautiful and we were able to have a fire in her log burning fireplace one afternoon!
Liana has the cutest cats. Charlie and Gracie. They are so adorable! They were fiesty and fun the whole time we were there and I think on the last day, we just wore them out!
A group shot of us all looking at Jamie’s storyboard that she did in record breaking time on the computer!
A goodbye group shot that Jamie’s Mom took of us all as Liana was taking one too! You can’t see my belly too much, but I am 8 months pregnant here, friends!
